A Bit About The Band
Alchemy is a rock musical written by Clive Nolan of Pendragon, Arena, Shadowland fame
and performed by a group of friends and musicians under the name of Caamora, first
performed in 2013. Clive had also previously written another musical, 'She'.
'Alchemy' has been performed both as a full stage production and as a concert version
without the full stage show, with plans to stage further events in London in 2014.
In addition to Clive Nolan playing the part of Samuel King (and directing the whole
project) the cast has included lead roles for Agnieszka Swita (as female lead character
Amelia), David Clifford, Tracy Hitchings, Andy Sears, Victoria Bolley, Soheila Clifford,
Damian Wilson, Chris Lewis, Paul Manzi, Paul Menel, Chris Longman, Verity Smith, Ross
Andrews, Kate Aston-Williams and others - inevitably for such an event the participants
can change from time to time!
Musicians that have been involved include Mike Varty, Mark Westwood, Scott Higham,
Kylan Amos and others.
The plot revolves around the attempts to achieve everlasting life (rather than turning
base metal to gold) and has numerous twists and turns and may or may not end happily
ever after! But be sure there is a moral there... If you're good at picking up storylines
from song and want to let the story just unfold then just get along and see it; if
you find that hard then it may be worth reading a synopsis first - there is still
plenty to enjoy.
