Space Elevator

A Bit About The Band

Formed by 'We Will Rock You' guitarist David Young and with 'The Duchess' on vocals, Space Elevator play well crafted songs in the Heart and Queen style. Their debut single involved legendary bass player Neil Murray although subsequently he was replaced by Chas Maguire, and David brought in Brian Greene on drums, with whom he had previously worked in Sonja Kristina's backing band.

After a debut album in 2014, they released a cover of 'Don't Believe A Word' for the Duchess Of Cambridge's Action On Addiction charity and announced a tie-up with Canada space company Thoth Technology who have the patent to build the first real space elevator! Their second album was released in 2018. A third album, Person Non Grata was released in 2022.
