Based around the Stoke area, Grace were formed in the late 70s by Mac Austin and Harry Davies with a sound influuenced by the early neo prog bands and serious songs to match - but weren't afraid to have a more pop feel when they felt like it with songs that were somewhat more whimsical. Bass player Dave Rushton and guitarist Dave Edge have remained present through most of their existence while other members have come, gone and returned.
