The Mentulls are brothers Andrew Pipe (guitar, vocals) and Jamie Pipe (keyboards, including bass-line), augmented by drummer Nick Colman. They are essentially a blues band, but will cite various progressive rock bands as their influences. Their style ends up being a melange of blues infused rock with prog, pop and jzz influences.

As well as touring in their own right they have supported some of the bands who who inflenced them, including Wishbone Ash and Focus. 2015 saw them release their third album, and in 2019 they added a new vocalist/guitarist/keysman David Crabtree to allow Andrew to concentrate on guitar and Nick Colman has left to be replaced by Henry Rogers.
